The rules that keep Whudey fair, secure, and beneficial for everyone.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Whudey account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll notify you of major changes via email.
2. Store Usage & Link Management
Store Link Ownership
- Your store link (whudey.com/your-store) is unique to you
- You can change your store link once every 30 days
- This rule prevents platform misuse and link squatting
- If you delete your account, your link becomes available after 90 days
Why the 30-Day Rule?
This prevents bad actors from constantly changing store links to avoid accountability. It also ensures customers can trust that your link leads to your legitimate business.
3. Fees & Payments
✓ 0% Commission on Sales
We do not take a percentage of your sales. You keep 100% of your profits. We make money only through optional subscription fees.
Pricing Structure
- Free Plan: ₦0/month - Up to 10 products, basic features
- Pro Plan: ₦5,000/month - Up to 50 products, advanced analytics, priority support
- All plans include unlimited store views and 0% sales commission
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled anytime
Payment Processing
You handle all customer payments directly through your chosen platform (WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.). Whudey never touches your money. We only charge you for the optional Pro subscription if you choose to upgrade.
4. Prohibited Items & Activities
You may not use Whudey to sell or promote:
- Illegal goods or services
- Counterfeit or stolen items
- Weapons, explosives, or dangerous materials
- Drugs or controlled substances
- Adult content or services
- Fraudulent schemes or scams
- Reported and found guilty
Violation Consequences:
Stores found selling prohibited items will be immediately deactivated, and we reserve the right to report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
5. Account Management & Deactivation
Your Right to Deactivate
- You can deactivate your store at any time from your dashboard
- Deactivation stops incoming orders immediately
- Your store data is preserved for 90 days in case you want to reactivate
- No refunds for unused Pro subscription time if you deactivate mid-month
We May Deactivate If:
- You violate these terms (especially prohibited items)
- Your account shows fraudulent activity
- You haven't logged in for 12+ months (with 30-day warning)
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You own all the content you upload (product images, descriptions, logos). By using Whudey, you grant us permission to display this content on your storefront and in promotional materials (with your consent).
Our Platform
Whudey's code, design, features, and branding are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
Whudey is a platform that connects you with customers. We are not responsible for:
- The quality, legality, or delivery of your products
- Customer disputes or payment issues
- Loss of data due to your own actions (though we do regular backups)
- Interruptions in service due to maintenance or technical issues
We provide the tools; you run your business. Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months (which may be ₦0 if you're on the Free plan).
8. Changes to Service
We're constantly improving Whudey. We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We'll always notify you of major changes, but we reserve the right to make updates without notice for security or performance improvements.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.
